I was cutting down this 10 foot Jessie Noel and didn't notice it had a seed pod on it until I drug it back to the greenhouse...clipped off the cane below the pod and stuck it in water to root...guess I'm going to have to start dragging around the ladder with me just to make sure there are no pods on them before I cut them down....the marker on it said that I crossed it with the Becca Lynn.
Rats..I did it again!!!

Glory,
Sounds like you have another beautiful hybrid in the making and here you thought you were going to have trouble this year. Congrats on that very special cross.
Brugman,
The seed pod is small yet...lets keep our fingers crossed that it lives to grow larger.

Hi, I was just wondering if you had a cutting of it for postage. I am new with this kind of plant. It sounds like you have to cut them back this time of year.
Karen
I hope your seed pod will still be good. You must have to wait awhicle for them to dry on the plant before you can take them off by the sound of it. I am so glad I found this site. I have learnt so much from all of you'se.
Thanks everyone for all the info
Gloria, praying for a 10 foot BL next summer! such a pretty one. i think 8 foot is the tallest any of mine are.
Arlene,
I do believe this one would have gotten taller if I would have left it alone until cold weather arrived.
