I snapped this pic in July on Cape Cop and it's still driving me crazy. Anyone have a clue what this one is?
CLOSED: What is This
Possibly, a juvenile male Scarlet Tanager for that time of the year.
Ditto to Scarlet Tanager
Resin
That's what I agree with. I have had some really talented birders tell me this was a Pine, Cape May, and Blackpoll Warbler (juvie).
I just didn't think the beak was right.

The beak was the clincher for me...the closest Warbler would have been the Tennessee. I post "possibly" because you should always have more than one confirmation. We have some of the best here at DG! Ive been doing this for about 18mths now and still learning from this forum that sometimes you need to use many factors to Id some birds. Thanks to Resin and the others. Props!
