…as captured by the bird cam.
A day at the stream…
Great pics! What is the little gray bird in pic 3?
Very nice shots Mrs Ed!
Thanks all. I just started it up for the day, can't wait to see what I get!
Yep, the camera is a Wingscapes 2.0 bird camera. GrannyGrunt MADE me get it (ha, twist my arm!). It has Manual, time lapse and automatic settings. The automatic can be set to different sensitivities for smaller or larger birds (it has a motion sensor for the automatic). Shoots video (10 seconds at a time) or photos. It also has about 4 focus ranges, starting at 18". I suppose any trail camera would work for this, but I thought the time lapse feature and flash would be interesting and I'll likely use that in the spring.
You can also turn the time stamp on, which I do. Pretty fun little thing to have around.

That's wonderful, Mrs Ed. I can't wait to see what else comes to visit.
That is a really nice setup and I love the stream!
Yah, I'm diggin' the activity there. It is not finished, but it is serving the purpose. Good thing the birds like to drink and bathe there because the rest of the pond has shade cloth on it right now to keep the leaves out. We'll probably have to close the stream in a couple of weeks (BOO!), but by that time the leaves will be off the trees and the cloth off the pond.
Great activity there Mrs.Ed!! I hope you catch your little warbler.
It looks like a perfect birding spot. I really enjoyed your photos. I know I'd be out there wanting to put my feet in the water all the time. Enjoy yourself!
One European invader giving another "what for."
What fun!! Wonder if Santa would bring me one of those cameras....
of course then I need someone to build me a stream!
Wonderful pics Mrs. Ed!
Oh man, Nanny, with your property you could catch so much good stuff. And that bird bath on the ground of yours gets plenty of traffic.
It's especially fun right now because I can't see the stream from the house since the shade cover is in the way. Now I can spy on them so much more easy!
I got to get me a set-up like that someday! Add a new bird while your taking a nap. lol That running water sure does the trick.
I'm truly envious of your set-up there, Mrs Ed. What a sanctuary you've created.
LOL Burd! Hey Resin, does that count as a tick if I'm snoozing away? ;-)
That so nice, love the stream and bird activities. That birdcam does wonders. Now I'm curious as to who stops in.

Nope, you have to see it directly with your own eyes . . . seeing something by remote cam is no different to seeing it on film or TV ;-)
But although you can't count it on your personal list, you can count it on your garden list, since you have proof the species was there, even if you didn't see it yourself . . . how complicated!!!
Resin
Well Burn, I KNEW there must have been some goldfinch enjoying it since I've seen your goldfinch at your stream.
RATS, Resin! You "tick" police are tough!!! :-D

Well there goes that idea. lol
Very nice Mrs.Ed. You seem to have lots of fun! And that's the point!
This would be nice on the fridge, to "tick" the ""birds"" that makes it empty!! LOL.
Well it was a nice try, Burd!
Little, I DO have fun with this. Plus, I'm really a terrible bird watcher in the field!
It was pretty quiet yesterday there, mostly only house sparrows. But caught this Red-breasted Nuthatch. It was a surprise as I never saw it at the feeders yesterday. Glad to see it in the yard.
Well, RATS, those pics are backwards. You get the idea though!
Sounds like you need ot start a 'Garden List '!
Have a nice trip!
