I found an Eruption and Bumpkin that I'm wanting to bid on, on ebay. Are either of these plants good for a beginning epi grower? I am waiting on a Showboat cutting from Don to root, but in the meantime, are these plants easy growers? If not, what epi hybrids are good ones to start out with? Thanks!

Eruption & Bumpkin good for beginners?
Guess no one is going to help me. Thanks anyway.
Randi, Just saw your post and can't really tell you about the Erution but I have a start of Bumpkin and it seems to be doing okay, it seemed to be a slow grower for me but thankfully is still alive. I bought alot of starts this year and with winter coming on I'm getting worried about caring for them correctly here where it gets so cold and cloudy in the winter, hoping for sunny cold days. I don't know whether you won your starts but if you did good luck with them.
Bumpkin is growing very well for me but I do not have Eruption. Oxypetalum and Crenatum are the easiest and fastest growing that I have tried. German Empress, Alter Ego, Grace, King of Yellows, Kirby's Giant, and Space Rocket all are fast growers. Good Luck!!!! bob
(Dave's Garden has been down a lot lately. Also, I'm finding that a uploading is more difficult and you tend to lose information easily. This could be why people are slow in answering you.)
Thank you for the replies! I did not bid on those plants, but may now consider a Bumpkin next time I see one, and probably some of the plants orchidman suggested. Thanks again!
Randi
