Does Tulipa humilis 'Alba Coerulea Oculata' naturalize?

Bloomington, IN(Zone 6a)

Does anyone know if Tulipa humilis 'Alba Coerulea Oculata' naturalizes? I ordered some from Brent and Becky's, but only got 5 and they are tiny! Since they are species tulips, I'm thinking they will spread, but I don't know much about tulips. Any tulip gurus who might know? I'm in the Chicago area, zone 5.

Often tulip species do naturalize nicely. Tulipa tarda is the easiest, IMO. Even Tulipa humilis may do so. T. h. Violacea does very well here in Minneapolis, MN. But anecdotal stories from multiple acquaintances say that Oculus Caerulea does not, and usually peters out in time.

Such a pity. It is so strikingly beautiful.

My experience mirrors leftwood's response. I've had some blooming for a couple years but no increase.
