Has anyone ever try to root a cutting completely white?

That branch is relying on the rest of the plant to produce the food it needs to grow as it itself does not have the capacity to produce its own food — no chlorophyll in any of its leaves. It will not root either because it doesn't the energy to do so. Leave it on the mother plant and enjoy it as long as it lasts. Mine have not lasted more than one season.
