Hi all, I haven't contributed to the forum in a while due to lack of variety. Although I enjoy the blooms my 3 mature plants give me, there is only so many photos of them that I can show you. So now I have had 2 more hibiscus grow up! How exciting. The Cajun Blue bloomed, along with my Voodoo Magic! Here they are.
CT bloom update 10/12/10
These are just beautiful. Are they in bloom now?
The Voodoo Magic is in bloom for the first time with this plant. I got it as a small plant in June and it has grown nicely. Cindy's Heart just had 3 blooms on her that lasted all week as always. The Cajun blue bloom was from a couple weeks ago, but since I haven't posted, I though I would share that one as well. I am expecting something from Tiger's Eye very soon, and some more form CB as well as Saffron & CH again.
Everyone is in the house for the winter. Great sunny windows, and new table that my husband made me to fit them all. Check it out.
Nice photos Kristen. "Tiger's Eye" looks quite similar to "Black Jack". Very nice deep coloration.
Does it really?
Yes, it looks very similar to me.
Awesome! there addictive aren't they! Thanks for sharing
Nice blooms and plants! What is the big red and white bloom next to Cajun Blue?
Dave that is Cindy's Heart

Thank you...It is huge and gorgeous! Is that one that is supposed to last for a few days?
It lasts up to 5 days. It is the most spectacular hot pink with a white boarder and a deep deep pinkish red eye. Great bloomer, great bush! One of my favorites!
HI, your blooms are gorgeous. And I love the table you have them on. What a lovely table your husband made. I have voodoo magic planted in the ground in my front yard. It's HUGE. I almost forgot that I have to dig it up. All of my others are in pots. Do you use any insect product before you bring them in the house? I'm going to look up Tahitian Taui now.
You need to dig it up soon! I love VM, it may be my favorite right now. I use a couple different insectecides. With mixed results. I have had the basic garden variety up until this spring when I discovered HVH and everyone else. Until then I only had aphids to deal with. Now I get spidermites on and off. What a pain! So I just now ordered Kontos. It is said to have some good results on mites, so I need to give it a try. Being that it is cold in New England, they might not be a big problem, but I have them right now on some of my plants.
