Is it edible? I started growing vines last year. This year they have tons of seed pods. Can you eat them? If so when? Right now they look like green eggs. I did find one article that said you can eat them. But I thought I would ask here too. I can take a picture if needed.

Is that what is commonly known as Maypops? I have eaten them. They are a bit tart but interesting.
Perhaps a photo might make sure we are thinking of the same plant to be safe?
