Yesterday a rooster was hanging out near one of my feeding stations nearly all day. Birders have suggested that it wasn't hatched/raised in the wild, but rather brought in for hunters. I don't know if that was supposed to lessen my enjoyment of his visit or what. At any rate, they are seldom seen in this area, and I was happy to have it here.
He's not as brilliantly colorful as some I've seen, but is still beautiful.
I hope he visits again.

How lucky you were to see this beauty! I'd have been excited to see him too. No matter how he was introduced to your area it would have been a pleasure to see him. Hope he returns to your area soon.
He was back today, at least for awhile.
