I've never seen a bird with this particular color hue.

That is it?

Thanks,

My thought was maybe a female House Sparrow: http://www.sialis.org/hospphotos.htm but I don't really know. Sure is a pretty little thing!

plantladylin, thanks. I looked at your link and all those seem to have a little white collar on their necks.

I don't see one on mine, course, it could be a juvie or something.

I'm so not really good at identifying birds, other than a Northern Cardinal or Blue Jay, LOL. Your bird sure looks like a Sparrow of some sort to me but it may be something else entirely! I found this list for distribution of Sparrows in Georgia: http://www.gos.org/species_maps/sparrows/maps.htm and it lists a lot of them and maps of the parts of state where they are found.

Hopefully one of the experts will pop in with an ID for you soon ... I'm always curious when it comes to birds.

Wow, plantladylin, what a fantastic map. I bookmarked the web site.

Yep, give me a Card or a Jay, I I'll give you an ID, lol.
