Yes, you have two different plants there, but I don't know what they are at this point.

Thanks for confirming that for me! :) I also posted in the plant and tree ID forum. The green leaves w/ stripes are lycoris. I have no clue what the others are. I really think I should start labeling things!!

Oh she eats but always playing tug of war with something. I used to put my trays of seedlings and small potted plants needing shade in the beds. I started seeing pots labels and bare roots so had to change that. Now I have them on shelves near my compost bins and cover them with netting! She is only 7mths and the other amost 2....they are still pups.

So far they have killed two birds and a toad, that I have found. They come very close to squirrels....I am sure some are missing fur. I quit feeding the birds and that helped. The dogs helped with the stray cats running my cat into hiding too. The dogs don't mess with my cat, she swatted them early on, so they walk a wide berth around her. She is 17 and almost deaf.

My mother's dog, Tigger, used to protect Katja, "her" cat, from the neighbor cats that would bother Katja. Tigger would often lay on a chair near the backdoor. One day from inside the house, we saw Katja high-tail it around a corner, run across the porch, and dive under Tigger's chair. Of course, Tigger sat up to see what was going on. You should have seen the look on the neighbor's cat when he came tearing around the corner to see a quite large (60-pound) dog staring back at him. Tigger only took a second to assess the situation before she jumped off the chair in pursuit, only to return and sniff gently at Katja (normally Tigger liked all cats, even strays). Never saw that cat bothering Katja again.

Cute story!
Sheila, this is the first year I can leave my pots out for the RU without my 3 1/2 year old dog tearing them apart. I hope yours grow out of that sooner.

Okay folks, any other ideas on the plants? LOL

Irving, TX(Zone 8a)

Those are LYCORIS RADIATA. They normally bloom at this time of the year.
Yours are not blooming, they are just sending out leaves.
Lycors first shows the flower and after the leaves. I hope they will bloom next year.
In the picture they are the red flowers.

I think she recognized those but there are two types of plants there.

Since these were just planted in the spring, I'm just glad to know they're still there! LOL

It's pretty though!

I checked them again tonight and they now all look the same color so I'm guess they're all spider lilies. I guess I"ll find out for sure next year! LOL
