Julie is over in EWA enjoying her birthday weekend with her DH. It is warm and sunny there and they have been sea-dooing, camping on camper's island in the sand, and just laying around enjoying the sun. Also picking more of our tomato harvest! When I talk to her today, I will tell her about this thread and all of your wishes. I don't believe that they can get internet over there.

Somehow I missed the initial celebraion of October birthdays. So, here is a belated birthday wish for you to have a fabulous year ahead, filled with love and joy.

Thanks all for the birthday wishes! I have been off line for a couple of weeks, and am going to valiently try to play catch up this weekend.

Don's day is two days before mine, so we always try to use our birthday's as an excuse to take a mini vacation. This year we went to EWA for five glorious days and had a blast. We went seadoo camping on one of the islands in the reservoir (it was a catastrophe and an incredible adventure all rolled into one), laid in the sun, cruised throughout the fields and hills looking for Sandhill Cranes, and basically just spent quality time together being lazy. Time off is the best birthday present ever!

Here is our beautiful camp on what we have termed "birthday island"....

I have such lovely memories of the potholes -- we went there often when I was a child. Looks about the same.
