Last week I bought a H curtisii from HD. It is an EA plant and looked quite healthy and robust at the time. However, it was soaking wet so I popped the bottom off of the pot. It is still quite wet and now some leaves are starting to yellow. I dont know Hoyas that well but my first thought is that the soil is far too wet or it is going through some sort of shock from being moved to a new home.
Any thoughts or advice?
Yellowing leaves?
Repotting and fresh soil immediately! I bought a full EA pot in June and in 2 months most of the roots rotted. The only good thing was the vines were long and green so I rooted them all over again, luckily it was very easy. EA soil mix is terrible and curtisii has a very shallow root system, why do they put her in those deep wet pots? Some hoyas with longer roots like lacunosa are thriving though but curtisii will die before you know it in conditions like that. Good luck!
