Paxistima canbyi in shade?

Hi all. Have any of you grown Paxistima in the shade? .hort.uconn.edu says it will 'tolerate PARTIAL shade'. I plan to grow it in high filtered shade. Very shady. But not gloomy and dark.
Thanks. Also note I live in central TN and our mid to late summer has been brutal.

I have some paxistima growing in similar conditions.
Seems to do fine.
