Sniff, my A. Konjacs are getting ready for winter...

Poughkeepsie, NY(Zone 6a)

They're starting to wilt now so it won't be long before I dig them up and clean them off and bring them in for the winter. Sniff.......summer goes by way too fast.......

Opposite story here, Tommy, the amorphs are on the move. Was just checking on a patch of wild giant A. paeoniifolius. The withered stems from the old plants had left big holes down into the dry soil. Cleaning out those holes I could see the new shoots coming up. I'll have to keep an eye on them and get progressive photos. My stored tubers (in a cool room) are starting to sprout as well. Will have to plant them out this weekend.

Yes, you folks are starting spring! Lucky devils! This year was REALLY hot and dry for us here in southern N.Y. I have a feeling we're going to get hammered with snow this winter.....
