CLOSED: Still hoping for a Purple Finch

Is this another House Finch or have I finally spotted a Purple Finch? There's one more pic coming. It doesn't seem to have the brown streaking on the breast that the House Finches have.

Sorry, still House - it has greyish-brown ear coverts, with a gap between the red-purple in the crown and throat.

Unfortunately, Purple is going to be decidedly rare in Houston, you're right on the far southwestern edge of their wintering range. Probably only much real chance if there is severe winter weather further northeast pushing them down.
