musta blown in with Hermine

Deep South, TX(Zone 9b)

This is the first wild passie I've seen. The blossom lasted the morning. Seems very tender, I move the vine around or clear around it and it wilts and sometimes dies. Started scanning pictures and saw there were 500 varities and decided to ask. A similar vine had red fruit.

It was bee-zy

Thanks

I have alot of vines on my place and since they started blooming, I've found a few more passies. If the birds don't beat me to it, I'll get some seeds. I've got one potted.

Thanks

Use those organza bags they use at wedding for rice n stuff .. you can buy them at the dollar tree store. They are great for protecting seeds til they ripen or sequestering buds the night before for hand pollination. The weave is tight enough that bugs can get in.
