My Lowes has a bunch of these, very pretty, but I don't know why they have them, they are not hardy right?
What zones are they hardy in?
I think most are only hardy to zone 8--there are a few slightly hardier cultivars that might be able to do the warmer parts of zone 7 but I suspect you're in 6? So I think it would be a pretty long shot unless you can bring them in for the winter. Places like Lowes & Home Depot don't seem to really pay attention to whether the things they sell are hardy in the areas they're selling them.
well that answers that then, Yes, I know Lowes will sell anything pretty, they don't care if it will live or not. I wish they had more variety that were hardy. Every year it is row after row of the same stuff they had the year before it seems like.
My mom grew them in STL but she brought them indoors in winters and kept them in basement with lights.
