WANTED: Bird house plans

I want to build a birdhouse that is tall and can be made from barn boards. I've searched the internet for a free pattern without much luck - the sites keep sending me to patterns you pay for. Do you have a pattern ?

Thanks for the links. I looked over these and will go back to read since there is lots of information. I want to build houses that a very decorative (by adding odd things to them such as perches and "windows") but keep them functional.

I really like something that would be 2 or 3 houses together at various heights. I have finches, robins, bluebirds and a few others. I really want to try and make several as gifts but hoped someone would have a plan for using barn boards or simular material where ornamental items would 'dress it up some'.
