The baccatum species is generally distinguished from the other species by the yellow or tan spots on the corollas, and by the yellow anthers.
Which you can see in this photo which is complimented by my Aji Lemon Drop
C. baccatum characteristics
Michael, that is a lovely flower, but what does the C. before baccatum stand for?
Oh!, I figured it out it stands for Capsicum, as in Chile or heaven forbid Pepper?
I found a link;

Yes Josephine the C does stand for Capsicum which in turn stands for Chilli and 'pepper' is a common name that was started by Christopher Columbus while he encountered them in the caribbean. He called them 'pepper' cause they had a spice like pepper does, which is why for many years 'peppers' were part of the Piper Genus.
Since 'peppers' are part of the species C. annuum they too are part of the genus Capsicum.
I just stick to a more formal pronuciation and stick with Chili and C. (species) and not call them 'peppers' unless I am talking about a bell.
I have shifted my photogenic abilities to my Chili's and all the critters I see on or around them. Thank you for you kind words.
You are welcome Michael.
Soon I'll be posting other Capsicum species flowers.
I look forward to it.
That's a great picture its cool to see it so close up and clear. I can really see the structure of the bloom. Thanks
Yeah, they all look alike from a distance. If you've got that kind of resolution for other varieties, it will be a great resource.
I'll be showing my skills in other shots starting tomorrow.
