Fun after all these months to be getting eggs. Now we are getting more than we can use and are giving to neighbors. This old skillet is a favorite nest.

They come up to me in the yard and want to be picked up. Can I ever spoil creatures?????
Now that is one brave little Hen!! Her name wouldnt be KFC by any chance would it!!
Congrats, Betty. My son's family's girls will be laying any day now. We're waiting, anticipating, because this will be a first for the city family moved to the country.

My girls laid 15 eggs today..whoo hooo thank goodness, I have two orders that are waiting to be filled...

My Grandsons are coming this weekend to gather eggs for their breakfast. I always thought that was fun at my GrandMothers house.

got 18 eggs yesterday... I have some good girls. I am moving some that are well enough to go back to the general population and pairing the breeds together so I am sure that I will loose some production until they settle down, but the weather is turning cooler and they should start going to town... LOL

This summer was supposed to be spent adding on to the Greenhouse, instead I spent my time on the Hen house. Nest summer will have to be the Spring of the Greenhouse. Now that I'm moving plants inside I am missing that room I would have had. LOL
