strange behavior

This is Rose our 2 yr old female mix Austrailian Shepard - Golden Retriever--? All of the sudden we've noticed her getting chimpmunks and playing with them like the cats do and then when she's done with it she squats on it and pee's, We've never seen or heard of this behavior and was hoping someone might know about it. Anyone know?
