Hello All,
I have a pic of a bird that reminds me of a field sparrow by it's beak, but it has a longer tail and a wide eyering. I'm attaching 2 pics. The 1st is of the "unknown bird" and the 2nd is of a field sparrow (with a "narrow" eye ring) I took a pic of last fall. I don't think the bird I'm trying to ID is a song sparrow, and I combed my field guides and give up. Any help is greatly appreciated :)

Thanks anyway folks. I got an ID of it being a field sparrow too! Wow, that wide eye ring really threw me off...

Sorry for the delay responding...just overwhelmed with stuff right now and haven't been on DG much at all. I figure after the Hummingbird migration and butterfly season is over in a few weeks I'll be back on here more often :)
