CLOSED: I.D. Help Needed.

The Bird stopped by to check out the feeder very briefly. It's slightly larger than house finches, but smaller than a Cardinal.

Hi Lily, the best I can come up with is a "possible" female Scarlet Tanager...keep an eye out it may return.

Summer Tanager, female - note the large bill, and greeny-toned underside of the tail (black in Scarlet Tanager).

Resin

Thank you Burd and Resin. This is the second time I saw this type of bird on my back yard. I'm pleased that they indeed pass through here.

Well at least I got Tanager right. lol
