Hello, I've heard and read that a Sago Palm ( Cycas revoluta) will make a good bonsai plant. Can someone enlighten me? Could you also comment on Jade plants? Thanks Jim

I dont think you can train a cycad much but I see them put into bonsai pots. I have however seen fabulous pics of jade tree bonsai. The few plants I have are all outside varieties.

Thanks for responding Cheryl. I'm curious about what type of planter to use for a bonsai sago. I know there would be nothing to train but I think it would be great to have a miniature version of one.

sorry no luck in Philadelphia with palms 'cept the ponytail ;)
Low rectangular is usually used for an upright specimen.
