hi, gonna take me few mins to type this cuz my right hand is all bandaged up due to shop fan accident cuz by someone else bumping me into it. my right hand fingertips came in contact with a huge shop fan blades from the old style that goes slow..it jammed my 3 main fingers to use. so i am typing with left first finger....lol
anyway i am fine!..that isnt the problem i am cancelling my round up. my 88 year old daddy is having a small surgery on his heart where it was repaired when he was in his 60's. i am having to take him to houston at the va hospital since i am his next of kin. the docs wanna make sure he is up to this kind of surgery which goes thru his leg.
this may sound simple to anyone who has parents but my daddy just came back in my life last year after being gone since 1965. i was just 9 years old when he was told to leave by my mom who didnt want him anymore.. he found me after looking for the last 5 years and he lived only 45 mins from me!...we spend almost every weekend together to make up lost time and i choose to be with him during this time and his surgery aftercare which we will know by next week when.
i am sorry i haven't been online lately since that accident and having to take my daddy to houston to va hospital. but we will manage with god's in our hands. i will let ya'll know when and how the surgery went.

I am sorry you have cancel your RU, I now you have been trying to get this together for a while and it must be very disappointing to cancel it, but family comes first.

Ah Nadine hate to hear of your Dad's health problems, but I'm glad you are reunited and you are able to be with him and care for him throughout this.. Love and prayers for you!
Nadine I hate hearing about your Dad and your hand, we love you and if there is anything we can do we are there for you. Maggi is in Oregon seeing here Brother and Sister but when she gets home she can come down if you need help in any way.
This does mean I can now got to the Arlington Roundup.

I've just come back from a few weeks up in Wisconsin where I was helping out while my dad was recovering from heart surgery. So I defiantly empathize with your need to be with your dad while he's dealing with this and my thoughts will be with you both.

Just hearing about the cancellation from another thread. I pray you and your Dad have many years together. I never knew mine...did find him online throught geneology but it was for naught. He was too stubborn or ill to reply to my messages, and died a year later. So love him while you can and hope you and he heal together. See you in the spring.

hi,got the bandages off today. everything looks good but my fingers still swollen but they will go down sometime or another.gotta do bending excerises... took a pic of my hands was the pits with left hand..but got one..had to cover the worst 2 fingers so nobody wouldn't puke..they say to uncover and let them air out and i am glad my hand is off that metal deal they put it on to keep me from bumping them n cuz me more pain...my brother has come over n dealt with few things already to help me. i have all the help right now. be glad to drive my bus next week monday..yeah!!!..i had a sub driver n she is kinda mean so i started riding along w my kids..lol...
how my dad found me:
i was given my grandparents home here in devers which was my dad's father in law. my mom's parents. he remembered just about the area where they lived long time ago so he seeked out their house. landscape changed since 1965 cuz there was not hardly any trees on this place. just house and water well shop...lol...but he found me after he had found out that my mom had passed away..that made him not so nervous to be around me. so we have been spending so much time cuz i am interested in my family history..which is huge! that is another story to tell..lol..

well my dad came over and we had a discussion on when he could have his surgery..told him. to do whatever your docs tell you..i will be there..lol..i was able to do alittle more with my hand.. so it is getting better as the days go by n doing what my daughter tells me to do..she is a PA currently back in iraq again. her hubby will be in kuwait in jan 2011 so i will be getting my grandson in dec for about 6 mons..depending on which of his parents come back to usa.

tina,send you a d mail. my dad told me alittle more about my family. we are from the bunch that lives around the clark ranch which is near the kings ranch in the lower part of texas thru my great great great grandpa clark which is my maiden name...i was told it was one of the largest ranches in texas as well..along with kings ranch...this is gonna get interesting cuz i had a green metal box at my mom's house which contains paperwork of who owns the property and stuff which is under lock n key and my dad still had the key all these years to open this box up. another story to add to my family chapter..soon as i get this box here at my house then we will open it up n see what we can find..lol..

Glad you are doing better. Some day we will have to sit around & swap stories about the father's we never knew. Mine was gone b4 I even knew him. But his side comes fr MS!!!

Okay, I can type some more and little faster!..My fingers are bendable to a certain point..the cuts are healed. knuckles are still swollen, I had my boss pull and popped them..and they actually felt better!!..but that was a good feeling pain..ouch ..ouch..ouch..
Satin Cheeks can be divided in the spring when they start emerging from winter nap. They do not like a lot of moisture in the winter. Well send me a pic!!!...lol..
Oh by the way, my dad's surgery is on Sept. 22 in the wee hours of the morning. He will stay in the hospital for few days then be an outpatient after that IF everything goes smoothly. He is in great health but that noise in his chest bothers his doctor..lol..

It was a wish of mine to find my birth Father. I had not seen him since around 1956. Unfortunately that never happened. He passed away in the mid 1990's. However I had a wonderful step father growing up. You would never have known that he wasn't our real Dad! He loved us very much! He passed away in 1982.

Thank you, I didn't have a dad growing up. My mom said..she could raise 3 kids and she did..lol..but I gained 2 step sisters and their families...lol...
Okay, I have been away from computer and my dad is doing great! One of the valves he had to have repaired way back when started acting up. Docs redone the work and he is good as new..he is here at my home resting according to what the docs said to do. He was up walking later on in the evening time since the surgery was at 6am. He was tired of sitting or laying in the bed..lol..he asked his docs if he could take a short walk to the bathroom. And as the days went by, he was getting stronger so he could come home with me today..Thanks for those who prayed for my daddy to get better..
I will be away from the computer until my dad doesnt need me as much..right now he is taking a short nap..LOL..snuck in this note to ya'll...
