What to do with dry air roots?

Pawleys Island, SC

A lot of my epis have had massive growth spurts this summer and have put out long stems covered in dry air roots. Should I remove them?

Greensburg, PA

I'd like to hear from an expert on this one myself. I tend to ignore them on mine, but have been known to pull them off or clip them if they get too ugly.

That's what I do with mine also. That's a good question ibartoo.

Here is an excellent site to answer your question - scroll down about mid-way:

I just cut mine off after they get completely dry.
