Passifloras from fresh seed

Teguise, Spain

Can anyone tell me if it is necessary to remove the pulop, like you do for tomatoes, from fresh passiflora seeds before sowing?

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

No it's not. I personally remove most of it but leave some on since the seeds seem to like germinating in a very acid environment.

Ok, thankyou

Anyone got any passiflora seed germination tips. I only potted up half the seed in case none come up and then i can have another go. hehe!
I planted Coccinea, Amethystina and Alata, in a netural mix of soil, sand, peat core and put them in a little humidity plastic house inside, not sure if the nights are warm enough yet to put it out in my greenhouse. Springs just started.
