Sorry to disappoint if you thought of food. I need suggestions for cooking utensils and thought what better place to ask but among the good cooks here that kindly share their recipes and ideas.
I do a lot of baking and have been really disgusted with the measuring spoons and measuring cups available. I have tossed two sets this past summer. The measurement marks on one set washed off after a few uses. That rendered them totally useless to me. The other set was too limited. I want a set of spoons that go down to at least 1/8 tsp with all the graduations up to a Tablespoon measurement. I do like to keep a couple sets of measuring spoons so I don't have to keep washing them off. I also don't need them to be hooked together. I find that totally inconvenient.
On the dry measuring cups, I am o.k. with those I have as long as the light is just right, I can read their embossed sizes. Yep, I recently got new glasses so that isn't it ~ lol. On the dry measuring cups though I wonder if you have a preference for a shape that works better for you.
I am o.k. with the liquid measuring cups I use but love gadgets and have been admiring the silicone measuring cups that you can squeeze and pour. Any thoughts?
If you use any other gadgets that you find invaluable, please tell me about them. I love kitchen gadgets!
