CLOSED: Which Grackle?

Photographed last Tuesday in Galveston, TX

Great-tailed Grackle...only other choice would be the Boat-tailed Grackle, which is in your area, but-

Great-tailed has a longer tail, flatter top-of-head and, in coastal TX, the yellow eye (Boat-tailed has a brown eye where you are)

You're welcome Patti. If you had seen this guy in Missouri City instead of Galveston, the ID would be assured

...I think all the Boat-tailed Grackles in Texas think they have to be able to see the Gulf.
