Found this butterfly on Coreopsis, its about 1/1/2". When I first saw it I thought it might be a Pearl Crescent with its wings closed and grabbed the camera, I got this photo and just as it flew away I saw it wasn't at all a Pearl, but looked a little like a Tiger Longwing that we had at the Butterfly Exhibit. I will post the flying away photo that is way out of focus so you can better ID it. I tripped when taking the photo I got so excited having a new visitor.

Definitely a crescent but which one :o) maybe a summer form of a Phaon Crescent? Do you have an open wing shot?
No that's the problem, it flew off. But I have a out of focus pic that you can see banding on. Here it is.
