I need some help....please!!

Kittrell, NC(Zone 7b)

It has been awhile since I have posted....due to health reasons. This is what I found this afternoon. I just am thankful that this plant, Inca Sun, is well away from my others. Can someone tell me what this is? Needless to say, it has already been bagged and carried to the dumpster, pot and all. But I just wanted to be informed if it shows up somewhere else.
Thanks,
Melanie

This is a very bad case of Stem Blight (Stengelbrand) you did well to destroy it as hard as it must be to do so.

I won't get another Inca Sun, I think it is prone to SB. I have gotten it on all three of the plants I have had. Just like vixen, loves it, but never was able to keep one healthy.

Since Logee's normally sends out very small plants, I bought 2 hoping that at least one would survive. One actually grew for a while and bloomed before going into some sort of decline, but I don't think it was SB. The entire young main stem turned yellow. Then then entire small plant seemed to shrivel as if it suddenly lost all its moisture. I kept the potted plant around for a while hoping it would return from the roots, but it never did.

Thank you all. I thought that it was SB, just had to be sure.

Hi, Brenda! How have you been doing? I think that I am going to end up having the same thing that you had. Just wished that the doctors would have done it in the first place. By now I would be up and running!! LOL!!
Take care,

I am doing great Mel, let me know, I will be there to support you. I have no regrets, I feel well, work every day and jnow it was worth it. Just make sure you have a lot of good pillows and a good recliner before you have the surgery.
