Drip irrigation questions

Seattle, WA

Hello,

Since Daves Gardens has no Irrigation forum, I have decided to post here, hopefully someone in this section can help me with my challenge.

We are newly retired to acreage here in northern New Mexico. During this first growing season, with a new greenhouse that is drip irrigated, I decided to convert our acreage to drip irrigation for: the tree lines being planted, the rose gardens, the vegetables to be planted outside, the raspberries line, the fruit trees, the perennial garden etc. They will be spread throughout the acreage and I have plenty of donated 1/2" PVC pipe to make this happen.

Professionals such as DripWorks have returned my scale drawings and images unworked. A firm in the area wanted so much to supply the materials for just one treeline I considered it exhorbitant. Well meaning Master Gardeners and extension programs have offered to help, but that help consisted mainly of a few tips, no overall design.

So, I am seeking ideas and information. Who makes the best, long lasting componentry out there? Is there really a major book out there, or a person to consult, who can help me design this system CORRECTLY the first time? This entire process has been one of increasing frustration in that I know I could complete the entire process, but I want to use the right componentry so this will be a large, simple system that anybody can operate, when I pass on and my wife sells this property.

I appreciate in advance any serious help anyone can give me as to completing this project.

Gene So
