Have looked through all the images on the Fuchsia database but can't identify this one - anyone any ideas please?
Which Fuchsia is this please?
Hi sulkyrob, that is a beauty! Is it a hanging basket or an upright? Plus, it helps allot to properly id a fuchsia is one can also see the leaves. As the leaves can be as distintive as the flower. Two varieties can have almost identical flowers, and totally different leaves and growth habit. Have you checked the Australian Fuchsia Society? I know fuchsias are very, very popularin Australia.

New Zealand has one also:

They may have your fuchsia on their sites. Since there are over 12,000 hybrids, sometimes different areas have certain varieties in more abundance than others.
Let us know what you find!

Pedrick, thanks for your response. I should have mentioned that this Fuchsia was in Butchart Gardens!!! I know I should have asked their plant identification centre to identify it for me but unfortunately didn't. It was in a hanging basket but can't help with the leaves. And, of course, I've moved on to other places now so can't go back - although the Gardens would be worth another visit!
So now that you know it is (presumably) a North American cultivar any ideas please?
