They are my two faverolles, what nice birds so friendly and beautiful to look at,they love that swing they jump up there and swing then get down.
Meet Lucy and Ethel
they are beautiful
They ARE beautiful!
Pretty!! Love that they make themselves at home on the swing. I thought that was only at my house.
Once I learn how to post pictures, I'll show you a picture of my girls on the swing, lol. Beautiful, happy girls you have.
Oh no, mine are deprived; they don't have a swing!
You need to get one for them, nice looking birds picabo
Lucy laid her first egg today,Ethel should be cloe behind as they are the same age.
Congratulations!
We have gathered 13 eggs this week. Most are in flower pots, (They watch me garden toooo much LOL) I found one in a hanging basket of orchids. Hung that one up higher. LOL The last couple of days they have laid more in the chicken house.
Egghunting - it's not just for Easter anymore!
Right, LOL
Another one today.very small for big girls, size of a silkie egg,I know they well get bigger as time goes on
Isn't it true, "beautie is in the eye of the beholder)...That is really cute and I agree they are very pretty girls...
They were much cuter before the rooster took some of there head feathers off,and the little frizzle rides on there back once in a while to.
Their names are perfect!
I have pictures of my girls, Claire and Alice on our swing, but I'm not smart enough to figure out how to post them. But Happy St Paddy's Day, from Claire and Alice to Lucy and Ethel.
I made some chicken saddles in the same fabric as the yellow one..a year or two while back..lol..cool looking girls!!! I figured out how to make chicken diapers now..lol..
Chicken diapers, lol. You would have to keep changing them, yuk. Much easier to buy a bunch of baby wipes at Walgreens when they have a sale, and just follow them around. I once read about if someone from another planet came here and watched us walk our dogs, with the dogs in the front, and us furtively picking up their poop, who would they think was in charge. When you walk around with your 14th bag of poopy wipes this month, following your chicken, there should be no doubt.
Moodene I think I ordered saddles from you and if I did that probably is one of yours,if so they hold up very well as they have been washes a worn many times.I have made some on my own but the yellow one was bought
Elleisn, just below the box where you type your response to a thread is a box that says "Browse.." You need to know where your pictures are on your computer.. (what the name of the picture is and what folder/location you saved it) So when you click on Browse, it takes you to a list of your folders... You find your picture..(where you saved it) click on "okay" and that should put your picture filename in the box just below where it says Image: and next to the box you clicked on. Then click "preview" to see if it worked.. and click "send"
You wont' mess anything up.. Just give it a try, you'll get it.. :)
Ok, thanks I'll try.
Wonderful Ellie: A whole new world. She tried to teach me also, but I proved to be the unteachable, untouchable...LOL...Haystack
I've got so many pictures, I will have to really restrain myself. I think ZZ really has unleashed a monster I carry a picture of Alice in my wallet. My neighbors have come over to take pictures of the girls..
Don't restrain yourself, post those pictures. We LIKE THEM. !
Lovely chickens and I can tell they are spoiled rotten.
Elle, that is a stunning photo of Claire. I love the colors.
Hah! with the ever present poopy wipes right behind, lol.
.
Are they golden comets?
Yipeee! You just load as many as you want! We love pictures! The more the merrier.. :)
I think they are Rhode Island Reds. They were supposed to be New Hampshire Reds, but I think the guy would have told me they were ducks, if he thought I'd buy them.
They look so content it makes me smile!
Me too, and they always look like they are up to something mischievious.
Why do you think the are not New Hampshires? Their color looks right to me.
