Hello from the sunshine state!

After seeing the tropical plants die in my yard the past two winters, especially this past year which was supposed to be the coldest in decades in Central Florida; I have decided to try and grow cold hardy plants like a Colorado Blue Spruce called 'The Blues' which is a dwarf weeping variety, a Hinoki Cypress 'Nana Gracilis', and a Japanese Maple 'Shaina'. I am also trying my luck with roses of the Fortuniana rootstock variety.

As you can see, I recently got bit by the gardening bug :)

Yes I have looked at many of them and posted on the beginning gardener, roses, and a few others, like plant ID. They have been very helpful.
