I was sat out in my yard at the weekend in NY State photographing the local birds when I spotted this bird up in one of the trees. It didn't stay there long and I only got a couple of pictures of it, but I have no idea what it is. I haven't seen it before or since.
Can you help?
To me it looks like a Great Crested Flycatcher. Lets see what others say.
