I have a lot of butterflies flitting around this year (hopefully it continues ;)). This one, I can't ID. Even with my newly purchased butterfly field guide! So, could I get some help, please?

Gray hairstreak for me too. LOL.
If you see anything small like that, head to the Blues, Azures or Hairstreak sections. Then you can narrow it down by location before you start looking closely at the markings.

Yes, it is a hairstreak. I found a great resource for looking up all kinds of insects...try www.whatsthatbug.com. They are also on facebook and post new insects several times a day...love the resource!
