CLOSED: WANTED: Fall Trades

Northeast, AR(Zone 7a)

I would like to set up a few last trades for the fall. I'll be able to dig in early Sept. So if you're interested in trading with me, let me know.

Please Note: I DO NOT MAIL PLANTS FOR POSTAGE.

I'm redesigning my gardens with particular themes and I'm interested in unusual plants that fit my themes. I'm working on a love/romance garden, a butterfly garden, an edible garden, and a serenity garden. My primary interests are:

named daylilies
named Louisiana Irises
named Jap irises
named Hostas (variegated, gold, or otherwise unusual)
named HARDY hibiscus (particularly Confederate Rose, WHITE TX Star, Turn of the Century)
Butterfly bushes (like Honeycomb, Rainbow, Pink Delight, etc)
Black Cohosh (particularly Hillside Black Beauty or Black Neglige)
Black Elderberry
Golden Elderberry
Rice Paper plants
Unusual Sedums
Ornamental Grasses
Unusual garden phloxes, especially variegated ones
Climbing roses (would like two identical climbers that bloom continuously from spring thru fall to put on an arbor in the wedding garden)
Any unusual foliage
Hardy butterfly gingers (already have the white one)
Penstemons (already have husker red)
Joe Pye Weeds
Big and Showy plants
Other unique plants

I need WELL-ROOTED plants, not freshly rooted cuttings or seeds. I don't have time to baby anything. It needs to be ready to go in the ground as soon as I get it.

I am NOT interested in tropicals, only perennials for zone 7/8.

I'm looking to do larger trades of multiple plants. I won't trade for just one or two plants. I can usually buy them easier and cheaper than packing mine up and paying the postage to ship them.

I ship in a box by priority mail and expect the same in return.

My gardens are mostly full sun, so I'm looking primarily for drought tolerant, sun lovers. I do have a small shade garden and would love to get a few hostas or heucheras with a love/romance theme.

I'll also trade for garden decor like stained glass art, butterflies, garden signs, windchimes, etc. of similar value to my plants. Would love to get a buddha and pagoda for the serenity garden.

If interested in trading with me, let me know. Please don't be offended if I don't trade with you. I am an advanced gardener with limited space in my gardens now, so I'm looking only for the best plants for what space I have left.

If you need to see pics of any of the daylilies or irises, let me know. I think I have pics of all of them.

Thank you for reading all this!

Hi Nancy, I have a bunch of White TX star seeds if you would be interested.

Northeast, AR(Zone 7a)

I already have white TX star seeds. I was wanting a couple of real plants. I don't have patience for seeds. Thanks though!

Baytown, TX(Zone 9a)

No prob, hope you find what you are looking for. ;)

Northeast, AR(Zone 7a)

My subscribership here expires Sept 6 and I won't be renewing, so I'll no longer be able to post here. I'd like to set up and complete any trades before then. I will close this post before my membership expires and will be unable to respond to any posts afterwards. So if you want to trade with me, this is your last chance.

Thanks for all the wonderful trades I've done here. My gardens are thriving thanks to many of you. I'll still be able to respond to dmails after my subscribership ends, so you can continue to dmail me or we can swap email addresses.

try this link,,,some of my work is there

JM, those rock faces are so cute! Do you have a photo album of some of the stuff you can make? I'd like to see more.

What plants were you interested in from me? Could you dmail me? Maybe we can work something out.

Northeast, AR(Zone 7a)

Anyone else interested in a fall trade with me before my membership expires? I'd love to get some different plants and move some of these out of my gardens. There's only a couple of weeks left before my membership ends (Sept 6).

Judsonia, AR(Zone 7b)

I Hate to see you go, just when we were getting use to seeing you around here.

Northeast, AR(Zone 7a)

Hi Kathy, you have my email. We can keep in touch that way. And you don't live far so we can visit too. I've outgrown the trading forums here apparently and that's really what I came here for. I don't see much point in paying for a membership if I'm not able to trade much anymore. So it's just time to move in a different direction. Of course I'll keep in touch with my favorite people, like you.

Northeast, AR(Zone 7a)

Thank you all for all the trades over the years. My gardens wouldn't be so spectacular without all your trades. I especially appreciate the special friends I've made over the years and will keep in touch with you guys.

I'm closing this thread now as it seems anyone who is interested in a final trade with me has already responded. Thank you all for everything!!

Hi NancyAnn,

I grew from seeds the white Texas star hibiscus. One has bloomed and the 3 others have not; one is setting bud.
I'm interested in the Chinese scholar, Haunting melody, and any pink ones; also ones with eyes or bi-color.

Big and showy...EE's...Chicago Harlequin and Illustris.

Betsy
