I had a visit from a juvenile Carolina Wren and got a few extra shots and decided to try and be creative.
I start it off with some activity at the birdbath today from some juvenile House Sparrow's who seemed to be pretending they were adults.
Carolina Wren Missing (A short story)
Ok I should have just gone to bed. lol
Oh Burd, your little story is just precious! The HOSP are sweet and this little wren is really adorable. I'm so glad you had a chance to see and understand what this little one was thinking.
I really loved that "kinda of scary being the new kid" photo-the expression is right on with your words.
So cute Burd! Wonderful shots!
This is an enchanting thread, Burd. Love your photos and the narrative.
Thanks Margaret! He stuck right out when he showed up (my first C. Wren to visit) he made little move's the whole way and looked so...gulp...cute. lol
Aww, how cute!
Neat way to show your wren. What camera and lens are you normally using?
Thanks docgipe! Canon Rebel T1i and Canon 400mm 5.6 lens
I'm shooting the Rebel XT1 with kit quality lens. Saving up for a major up grade. I did not shoot much this summer due to ongoing illness and the weakened body. Feeling better now and getting set up to follow grandson through football, wrestling and baseball if possible. Getting my mobility scooter set up to move me and the camera about the sidelines. Had to secure the scooter and scooter carrier to get me to the playing fields first. Football practice starts today. Any day it is not raining I will be there. We have the practices and two scrimages in good daylight. Shooting under the lights with my equipment is a hoot.
