Started growing herbs

River Vale, NJ

A few weeks ago I posted about wanting to start an herb garden (thanks for the tips, by the way). I ended up growing them on my deck (in a grow bag), and my only regret is not starting earlier! I have basil, thyme, parsley, rosemary, and dill. So far so good! Well, except the dill, which looks quite pathetic. The rosemary isn't spectacular, but it's doing well enough for my needs. All I do is keep the soil moist, and that's it. Zero effort. Lots of payoff. Can't wait to try more stuff next year.

So two questions, if you don't mind.

1. Is there any way I can keep some herbs growing indoors in the winter? I'm afraid I won't have enough sunlight.

2. What do you use thyme in? It's not an herb I've used much. The rest I use all the time (no pun intended).

Thanks!
