Looking for Fennel Plants

Hammond, LA(Zone 8b)

I don't have too many exciting things. I do have some Amaryllis that I can dig up, and a few ric-rac cactus cuttings.

I am feeding my caterpillars with the fennel and am running low. If anyone has any they would like to trade, please let me know.

Thanks, Jennifer

What part of the fennel do they eat? Just curious.

The "ferny" looking part.

Walmart carries herbs from Bonnie's - they should have some - that's where I bought mine.

Fennel plants don't transplant well, but they're easy to grow from seeds. I have seeds for bronze fennel if you want them. It has delightful smoky foliage. And mine gets around 5 or 6 ft tall, loaded with black swallowtail cats right now.

I've been to Hammond, LA. I have some friends in Tickfaw. I came down that way a few times and tried to dig up some of those palmettos my friend said are weeds. Those things are tough!! I came back empty-handed...well not really. I had a vanload of plants, but no palmettos and I still want them. LOL

If you want some bronze fennel seeds, dmail me your address and I'll get them in the mail in the next week or so.

Butterfly, send me a dmail and I will see if I can dig a couple for you, if you want to pay postage - they are a horrible pest here.

Thanks, Kay. I'd love some. The large ones, of course, are impossible. But maybe you can find some seedlings. I'll dmail you. Thank you so much!

Sent you a response, Butterfly.
