Is it illegal to gather seeds at a botanical garden?

Thank you Josephine. I thought it was but wanted to make sure before I told my kids so. I took them to the FWBG this morning. I always let them just have somewhat of free run to explore when we are there. Well, after two hours of exploring we got in the car to leave and my oldest son starts cleaning out his shorts pockets. When I asked what he was doing he said 'I collected some seed pods for you to start Mom'. LOL They both know not to pick any flowers or dig anything up, guess I need to mention seeds too. Hopefully they won't ban me now =/

No they won't, it is very tempting to do it, but if everyone did that, they would have nothing left, so that is why.

Thanks Josephine. That was exactly why I thought it might be illegal. I'll go over that with my boys. They are so sweet and have good intentions, they share my love of gardening as well.
