HAVE: Sesbania punicea (Scarlet WIsteria, Rattlebox) seeds

Gainesville, FL

Have many fresh seeds to trade. This plant is considered a noxious weed in areas that don;t frost, like some parts of CA and South FL but we do not have a problem with it here. It is hardy in zone 8B. possibly zone 8A, has survived 2 winters here and gotten bigger and prettier each year, survived this last awful winter lows of about 18-19 and many nights of low 20's. Deciduous in winter. Seeds germinate fast and the tree is pretty fast growing. Looking for other cool seeds. Would like to try Clianthus.

Mulberry, FL

How about some coffee have fresh plumeria and datura and cococa

Lee's Summit, MO(Zone 6a)

Gina, both of mine have gotten 15' tall - can I cut these back to say 4' without compromising them?

Gainesville, FL

I think so, I cut mine back a few times the first few winters to make them bush out more. I got a 2nd flush of blooms this year, the tree is in bloom now.

Thanks, Gina - yes, mine was in bloom again, until heavy wind and rain beat the blooms off. I will cut it back this fall. The other one, I will cut back now.
