I sent an e-mail to Kelly Lotts explaining about many who have submitted in the past and their sightings are not being recognized/uploaded/etc. This is what she has written back to me and I quote:
"This has been an extraordinarily rough season for BAMONA submissions, but things will change! We are working on a new version of the web site that will allow users to submit records directly through the web site. As a result, we have asked the coordinators to hold off on submitting new records to us so that we can get the new site developed. Because there are only two of us who work part-time on the BAMONA project, the development of the new site has been slower than anticipated. It is in progress, though (even as I spend some extra time now on a Saturday!), and we are aiming for a launch date of late August/September. The submission and review process will be much more streamlined and we will have much better oversight. In addition, new records will be highlight clearly on the site, with photographs and submitter information. There will also be new maps displaying point data. We are very excited! So, please, I urge you to let people know we are doing our best to get the new version out. I suggest you hold on to your sightings and photographs until we launch, and then you can submit directly to the site without worrying what will come of your submissions. Plus, you will be able to give me any feedback about the new submission process. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask."
I can only hope that those who have been discouraged in the past will reconsider submitting your sightings again :)

For those who submit sightings to BAMONA...
Very nice response.
I had seen that on their website...doesn't explain things from last year.....
well I'll just wait for the new site. Agreed that he coordinator in this area was MIA to me.
