New from Kearney, MO

Kearney, MO(Zone 6a)

I was searching for some info & up pops a conversation I had with Marturo on another garden board years ago. I googled his name & it popped up on Dave's Garden also. Is he still around?

I haven't looked around very much, but this looks like a place I want to be.

I've been gardening for 40 years & have learned a lot from forums like this. I look forward to your expert advice, & hopefully, I can help occasionally.

Hi to all!

Welcome BK! Kearney holds a place in my heart, as my grandparents lived there.

Kearney, MO(Zone 6a)

Thanks everyone. I haven't had much time to browse around, but I'll get to it.

Msrobin, I don't know too many people in Kearney. We live a few miles south, so Liberty & Gladstone are usually my stomping grounds. If you haven't been here for awhile, Kearney has REALLY grown.

Do you know where Jessie James Homestead is? I think their farm was west of there a few miles. SW of town maybe.

Haven't been there in 25 years, so I'm sure it has grown tremendously.

Yes, Jessie James home is NW of Kearney. We're SW of Kearney.

You wouldn't recognize Kearney now. The town has grown a little, but the outside areas, where fields used to be, are mostly houses. Sad, but good for the economy, I guess. So far, we haven't been annexed.

Since we're in the boonies, we only have dial up. I would love to spend more time on here, but...I'm rather impatient when waiting for a website to appear.
