My dad was a docent for many years at the Westinghouse Museum, and when that collection was moved into the Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh, he started volunteering there instead. The kids in his tour groups love him, because he "pops" questions as he goes along and gives out Heinz Pickle Pins for correct answers.
He just sent me this link to an article in the Pittsburgh paper. Looks like a reporter must have been in one of his recent tour groups!
There are some good "icebox" recipes at the bottom of the article, including my grandma's famous almond cookies.
