Yesterday my beloved Mssada Payne joined his "siblings" at Rainbow Bridge. He was born 5-19-2000 and came to live with us 6-23-2001. He was a Rhodesian Ridgeback rescue...hence the use of Mssada in his name.
Payne spent the first year of life at a horrendusly horrible puppy mill in Mississippi. Although there was no proof, I know he was abused by a man who likely wore cowboy boots. Whenever Bill (dh) wore boots, Payne would bark at his heels....me in boots..no problem.
My baby is now in the Memory Garden with 5 Greyhounds and another Ridgeback. He was such a sweetheart and a Momma's boy to his very core. I'll be planting a redbud on his grave. Payne...you may be gone from here, but NEVER from my heart.
Payne loved coffee and orange juice. I gouldn't leave either where he could get them. Silly boy...Mom's cup or glass would be emptied in nothing flat. :-))) Please join me in a celebration of Payne's life as well as the lives of furbabies ya'll carry in your hearts. The picture is my favorite of Payne taken when he was about 2 1/2.
Please come to Payne's wake
