I need to find a few coop sites for some ideas on a New Coop for Peeper and His New Ladies that are comeing Soon.
He Has a Lil House and is Happy. However, with the New Family Moving In He Wants A Condo Built For The 4 Ladies to be Happy & They All Want their Own Rooms / Nest boxes For Laying Eggs .
You Know How the Ladies are No Sharing a Room / Nesting box .LOL
Can anyone Help me & Peeper Out we are expecting 4 ladies to join us Soon .
So we need to get busy scouting for our design , modify it to suit our liking and build it , and still get the fence / run up. so the Ladies and safely take a stroll in the yard & strut ther stuff , cackel about , and gossip about the night they had with Peeper
Thank You for your Help In Advance

Peeper Is Looking For A Condo Coop Any Ideas For Plans ?
Hello Folks,
Any Help would be nice I lost all My Chicken Web Sites when i had a fatial Computer crash . I only have 2 1/2 weeks to find a good coop and start the mods and build it all .
Thanks
Sarge
I'm glad Peepers will have the harem he's doubtless been dreaming of!
A couple of my mid-Atlantic friends have chickens, and one built a really nifty A-frame coop for hers. I hunted around and found this thread for you.. there are some links in one of the posts that might be useful, also.

Howdy Sarge, never retired but been there done that...Google City Chickens and you'll find coop's that will knock your socks off. Just a heads up...these ladies will not want their own room...You'll see...LOL. Have fun and good luck...Hay
Haystack,
I think I have found the Chicken Condo to Build it wont be all that fancy but it will be sortof cute there will be 4 nesting boxes for the reason of drop doors to find out what ones are laying eggs at first .
I would like to have a little side room seprate for a brooder hen to hatch a few eggs later but i can make that later by the design I found.
I am All Country Brother Born in a small Town where I now live i returned to revamp the Old Home place After the Military .

Good for you Sarge, we salute your service, and I personally wish you the very best. Sparta, is a town I spent about three days in back in the fifties while I was on T.D.Y. from Ft. Lee Virginia to Camp Breckenridge, Ky. I went there with a friend from the area. Man that was a long time ago. Back in 1956. By the way welcome to the poultry forum, it's good to have another man on here...though these ladies are all wonderful people...Hay
Hay,
Peeps was raised in FL & about 8 yrs old and lived there all his life . His owners are now moveing to Mississippi and are part of the family , Thanks to my Father-in -Law / Remarried ... I got a Good Rooster out of the Deal. LOL A Silkie / Blue Cochin = Splash
one of my Deughters friends come over yesterday and her mom has White Silkies Hens she wants rid of their about a 1 1/2 old she is going to send me 4 of them when I git the coop built, that will be 8 Hens I guess Ol Peeps can handle 8 Gals runnen around the House .

Sarge, are you sure he's not a a Cochin?
Hay Ken,
I think it is somthing like this for Peeps
Silkie / Blue Cochin = Splash
Splash is his color and by looking at his head, it does not look like he has any Silkie in him at all. He is a stately bird.
Ken ,
The Dates are wrong on the photos I put new batteriers in the camera and did not set the date these were taken just the other day the pic's are New .

The more I see the more he looks like a Splash Cochin.
well to show my Non - Knowing is that a good thing or bad ?
The Hens that are coming are just like him I went and looked at them yesterday and asked the Lady and had told her what you had said Peeps was had to print the name out because I dont say it very well .LOL... sort of sounds like your sneasen ;>)
She just sent for her neighbor and he said thats the one He laughed and said he had a hard time saying it too . Any way they have several due to a broody hen that likes to hide the eggs and hatch them out . so she is given me the hens free . there are not any papers on them like most folks want but the poppa is like Peeps but White just like the Hens so I guess I am doing good .
Sarge
That's a fine looking bird.
LFJ,
Thank You, Peeps Is a healthy Bird and i am lookinf forward to getting him into a much larger area and run so Him and the new Ladies (after a few weeks) can get out in the yard and have some fun the run will be a 10 X 12 area fenced in to the coop for day trips and such but when we are home the will have free run and put up at night .
we have had some thunder boomers set in on us the last few days so the coop building has been put on hold due to the water sheading, and relocation of the coop site pond sites are no good for chickens lol (Hard Rains Reveald this Issue)
