The bud on my sanguinea fell off...sniff~sniff...:o(
...What a bummer. I'm doubting this is a sanguinea now. I got the seeds in a trade last year and I think it might be another species. I disected the bud but it just looks pale green. Does the color in the sanguinea deepen with age? - or would it have red in it when it opens? I'll probably have to wait a year to find out now......

Yah... big disappointment. But that's Ok. My other ones will keep me happy for now. I have the white one that opened and another one coming along - it looks yellow so far.

PoppySue,
After opening thousands of buds before they are ready from a few different species, I have found that they are all green if you open them early enough.
